Christen Noel Kauffman is a poet and essayist originally from the Ohio valley. She’s the author of the poetry collection The Science of Things We Can Believe, winner of the 2023 Ghost Peach Press Prize in Poetry selected by Tiana Clark. Kauffman is a 2022 National Poetry Series finalist and her chapbook Notes to a Mother God was winner of the Paper Nautilus Debut Chapbook series. Her work has appeared in anthologies such as A Harp in the Stars: An Anthology of Lyric Essays (University of Nebraska Press) and has been a Pushcart, Best New Poets, and Best of the Net nominee. Her poems and essays can be found in journals such as Copper Nickel, DIAGRAM, Sixth Finch, The Cincinnati Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Smokelong Quarterly, Pleiades, and RHINO, among others.

Christen currently writes and teaches in Richmond, Indiana.
